My name is Debbie Leven and I have more than 14 years of experience working in PR and marketing – advising and supporting organisations in the public, private and charitable sectors. That includes: working with NHS organisations to help get them exposure to millions of people with ‘good news’ stories; securing endorsement from well-known personalities, including John Cleese, Tony Blair and Sir Ranulph Fiennes for a children’s charity; and crisis management support for the tunnel collapse at Gerrards Cross and the Buncefield explosion. In 2003 I won the Public Relations Consultants’ Association Frontline Award for Best Healthcare Campaign.
I set up Profile Matters in 2006 to help small businesses and charities/not-for-profit organisations make more of profile raising opportunities. The aim is to enable them to access the help, resources, knowledge and expert advice to put profile raising plans into action, without breaking the bank.
Not everyone can afford, or wants to employ, a PR agency or consultant. You don’t need to – you can manage and raise your profile yourself. You just need to know what to do, how to do it and when. A bit of commitment will help you on your way too. Of course, we also provide consultancy services – we shouldn’t teach clients how to do their own PR unless we continue to stay up-to-date with the latest thinking and techniques.
We can help you, but you can also help yourself - dip into our free stuff section and get started on raising your profile. |
